Our sustainable hostel is a typical sailor's house from 1957, of which the original facade is preserved.
It is located less than 100 meters from the sea, and in the heart of the town of A Guarda.
The hostel has a small garden at the back where you can relax and rest after a long day of walking.
Enjoy a special stay in a charming hostel.
We have a shared room on the upper floor with comfortable bunk beds made of ecological wood.
For your comfort and privacy, our bunk beds have curtains, a bedside table with independent light, plug, and usb chargers for your devices.
You will have a trunk to lock your belongings if you go for a walk, decide to go down to the common room, or relax in our garden.
We have wifi throughout the house and we have keyless access through code.
Booking conditions
GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS
When booking with us, check-in and check-out times are accepted. Check-in and check-out times are between 13:00 and 21:00. In order to arrive outside these hours, you must contact the hostel by phone. If you do not call, you may not be able to enter after 21:00.
Check-out time is until 10:00 h.
The rules of coexistence of the hostel are also accepted with the reservation:
Respect all the people and maintain order in the coexistence.
Quiet hours are from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. in order to respect people's rest.
It is not allowed to store or consume food in the room.
Every time the kitchen is used, it must be left clean and tidy for the next people who use it.
Take care of the utensils and facilities
If something is not working, let the staff know so that they can fix it.
The hostel does not accept pets, except guide dogs
The hostel is not responsible for the loss or damage of guests' personal belongings.
Individuals or groups that violate these rules may be expelled from the hostel and/or banned from entering the hostel.
RESERVATIONS
Types of reservations through the web:
Online payment
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before. Payment can be made via Paypal, or by bank transfer if desired, contacting previously with the accommodation.
Reservation by mail
By mail we will ask you for your reservation information (full name, phone number). This procedure is valid for the mail info@albergueopeirao as well as for albergueopeirao@gmail.
RESERVATIONS BY PHONE
You will be asked for the necessary information to make the reservation (full name, phone number).
Conditions for groups
A group is defined as more than 4 people. Groups must pay 50% of the total amount of the reservation to make it effective. This amount will be refunded in full if cancelled 15 days in advance. If not cancelled, this amount will be subtracted from the total price of the stay.
This payment can be made by credit card, bank transfer or Paypal.
Stays of more than 2 nights for groups
Groups (more than 4 people) must pay 50% of the total amount of the reservation to make it effective. The amount will be refunded if the reservation is cancelled 2 months or more in advance.
Conditions for last minute reservations (last minute is understood as 24 hours before arrival).
Last minute reservations must provide the credit card details on which the full amount of the stay will be charged. If it is a stay of more than one day, only the first night will be charged.
In case of not wanting/being able to provide the credit card information, a maximum arrival time will be established, after which, if the client has not arrived, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
Last minute reservations will not be cancelled free of charge.
